De campingcar obv
Nice and/or handy places to stay. I'll start with one of each:
Mesnil-Saint-Pere - 4 hours from Calais and 4-5 from the Alps. Next to a lake with a beach etc so not a bad place to stay in itself, especially for free.
Ile de Re - quite a way round the island with basic facilities, but near a beach with a tidal pier to dive off of and beautiful views. And a bar.
It's about 10 euros a night but quite popular so get there early.
