BTCC RD1 BRANDS HATCH
Discussion
So with media day done and gone the full grid has been announced and we are in for a treat.
New teams/ new cars and new drivers think most of the paddock be looking at how the new subarus get on and if plato will keep to his recored of getting a win at the first rd with a new car did it with the mg/lacetti and cruze I believe.
With the rest of the field several fast young guns ready to take it to the top teams and with 4/5 main team up the front Honda/Subaru/motorbase/wsr/888 its going to be a close quali and 3 races.
I cant watch live as im at blyton park first rd of the sprint series but got Monday of so will catch up all then anyone going.
Oh and good luck wokkie with the audi.

Looking at the testing times today the support races seem to be well supported this year. All of them are around the 20 mark so hopefully will make for a good full days entertainment.
Great to see that so many of the Ginetta Junior drivers from last year have now graduated to either Formula MSA or Clios, and even one into Ginetta GT4s. It's fascinating to be able to watch these kids developing their careers like this.Going tomorrow, primarily for the MSA Formula (qualy and 2 races) - much less hassle than the Sundays. Got the bug last year on 2 or 3 visits, and we find it much more exciting and interesting than BTCC or the other series. And as you say, charting the rise of the youngsters is fascinating - going to try and get to some BRDC F3 (as it now is), not least to see how Lando Norris gets on. Also interested to see whether there's a step change from some of the 2015 MSA class who've stayed there (esp Pull and Florescu at Carlin)

Who's going to be the first to fall off at Paddock ?
Who's going to be the first victim of a "love tap" ?
It's going to be busy with 32 on Indy circuit.

Yeah, race two grid is back to being based on the race one finishing results. If not ,got to be Plato, starting outside top 20.
Also, I don't think any of the BMRs will try anything fancy this weekend - pretty sure they're viewing Brands as an extended test session, although Turks seems to be getting the best out of the Levorg so far.
