Does anyone know much about these, basically if it's not too much hassle I would like to fit one to my car, when I park it in the garage it's a bit tight, that and with the bucket seats and roll cage the rear view is near non existent, searching the net and there are plenty to look at but its a mine field.

Basically looking for as oem as possible, plenty out there that look the part and have the car image and the reverse grid lines etc, but hoping someone has already done this and can let me know.

I would be fitting myself and would say I am confident doing most things on a car.

Many thanks, Carl

No tampering with your car with this. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Striker-garage-parking-s...

I don't have one but it looks like it will do the job you're looking for.

I imagine a reversing camera will be an option on the 991.2 GT3, so your best bet might be to contact your dealer after that is available and see if it can be retro-fitted without any warranty problems.

I have tennis ball on a piece of string hung from the garage roof, spaced so when it touches the window I know i'm in the right spot, never had a warranty issue with it yet!!

I have one, fitted by VTS Systems in Kent. It is integrated into a numberplate surround and works with the PCM as the functionality is of course already built in. There were a few teething problems (the wires got too hot in the original install), but it works like OEM and wouldn't be without it whilst parallel parking!

If you are London-based, Auto Audio in Park Royal will fit the reversing camera for you. They do suggest the sensors are a better bet however. I have had the sensors fitted to my 991 GT3 and they work a treat. I would also highly recommend Auto Audio. Good standards of workmanship and always some amazing machinery to drool over in their workshops!
