Interesting picture because JCW was running in the top 10 in that race. No Racing Rod or griff2be, they would not have qualified for that race if they had been around then!
Fk me James, why do you keep having a pop at Andy, he has only raced one season, and he had a very creddible finish for a so called novice.
And if it ws not for Andy i can tell you now there would be even less chance of a TVR race whatsoever.
He devotes a hell of a lot time calling around etc..
Give the guy a break, or get in a car and race him..but stop knocking him befor i get really Fg mad

James - it is pointless you harping on about the good old days and how I wouldn't have made the grid - we all know the Tuscans aren't what they were, but I can only race against the current drivers. The last time we raced at Combe I finished half a second behined Richard Stanton in the Sprint Race and in 6th place ahead of Ben Samuelson in monsoon conditions in the Feature Race. I'm quite happy with that thanks very much. You weren't there - as I recall you had made yourself particularly unpopular in the Tuscan paddock with your antics at Knockhill.
You have made repeated jibes at me and my driving ability. Yet you know that I started racing at 36, with no previous experience in karts or cars. I've done one full season, self funded the majority of the costs and did a lot of the work on the car myself.
I raced last year with the sole intention of doing the best I could. By the end of the season I was starting to compete with Tim and Darren - this exceeded my expectations and I was more than satisfied. As were my sponsors, whom you also had a pop at at one stage.
You are entitled to your opinion, but when you come on here having a pop at people the only result is to damage your own credibility. Speaking of which, it strikes me as very odd that you should spend most of last year trying to associate yourself with the series, yet this year all you do is try to damage it.
In summary James, grow up.

Sounds like Jamesc has never raced then. All very different than driving old has been car around on the road. griff2be you having another pop this year?
Jamesc did race a Tuscan, albeit a little while ago now. I have no idea how long he raced for or how successfully. However, the Tuscan code, as taught by Uncle Rodney, is Tuscan drivers don't slag off other Tuscan drivers (except in jest), since anyone capable of chucking a Tuscan round a race track at a half decent speed with a number of other nutters is, by definition, a pretty good driver*. Jamesc knows that.
I will be doing some of the rounds this year, but not the full series.
* Uncle Rodney is the exception - he was always crap and his wife tells me has a small willy

griff2be,
Don't rise to the bait and particularly don't question the mind of the fabled jamesc who seems to know everything about anything to the extent that he might be so clever he disappears up his own auspuff!!!!!

Your e-bay description says:
"Very rare photograph of James Crofts' TVR Tuscan at Brands Hatch in 1996. This car was later driven by Jamie Campbell-Walter who went on to become world sports car champion. 10" x 8" by Mary Harvey
A nice peice of TVR history."
James, out of interest if it is "very rare" why are you getting rid of it?
