We recently took delivery of a '65 plate RR and so far everything is great, apart from the sat nav. So, I was wondering if I could completely replace or upgrade it someway.

Any help would be much appreciated.

No factory-installed nav will be as up-to-date as Waze/Google Maps/Co-Pilot/TomTom/Garmin etc for maps and traffic

Cradle - smartphone or PND. Problem solved in a couple of seconds for free!

It's somewhat integrated with the car, so not the easiest to swap out.

Is there anything in particular you don't like about it???

Yes, it just feels very slow and unresponsive for a car that costs £80k plus.

I have sat nav in my evoque and have moved to using Google maps on iPhone in cradle
My car is 2012. Whilst the sat naps is easy to use, it has sent me on some awful routes and doesn't seem to calculate traffic like Google maps. On my daily commute home full of traffic it's accurate to a couple of mins. Would be good to hook that up to the cars display - not sure if that's what Apple car play does

Whilst JLR are members of the Car Play consortium, they have adopted InControl as the route to smart phone integration. Various 3rd party apps interface via the touch screen - Sygic sat navigation for one (although despite saying otherwise they have not yet fixed the speed camera display). JustDrive, from CloudCar, looks to be promising, although 15 months down the line is still not available in the UK.
