Warning Code 22 - Power supply
Discussion
Hi everybody,
I got some strange error code in the dashbourd of my Tuscan Mk2 with baboons bum dash. It says 'Warning code 22 - Power supply' and is accompanied by a constant beeping, the oil lamp is on and the display is illuminated. This happens sometimes after turning OFF the engine when basically everything should be off and will continue until the battery is flat. Only chance I have is to turn on and off the ignition until it happens to disappear.
I thought it could be a stucked relay so I pulled out all the relays one by one but this didn't help at all.
Does anyone have an idea what this may be?

Check the electrical connections are in properly at the rear of the pod, mine did strange things when off and reseating the connectors helped. Also are you using a battery conditioner, Accumate or similar? I have to lock my T2 and wait for the alarm click before switching the battery conditioner, if I don't wait sometimes the will pod illuminate or flash for no apparent reason, although I haven't noticed it happen since I had the pod repaired.
Thank you for the hint, seems to be a reasonable cause. I will check the connectors.
No, I've got no power supply in my underground parking. I have to go the hard way and disconnect the battery when the car stays for longer.
Just in case the pod needs repair, I guess you can recommend a company.

Fingers crossed it's just the connections then. Paul Smith repaired my pod via Str8six

Alternator fault. Diode pack failing was my problem with similar symptoms. Feel the alternator, is it still warm when it should be cold?
Fuse 18 is the live feed from the ignition to the dash ecu. I used to be able to switch mine off by pushing the brake pedal!

Can the alternator be the problem when the warning code shows up after turning off the engine? The alternator is new as well. Was changed last year because the old one didn't charge anymore.
Yes when the diode pack fails the current can back flow which keeps the dash live. Not all types of alternator that fit the TVR have the diode pack, some times you need to add one yourself as it is required to stop the fault which presents itself as the diode pack failing. We had a thread on it before, don't have time to look for it now but there is a 'how to' thread on here somewhere that explains the issue and corrective action in detail.I guess you could try disconnecting the power from the alternator to see if this is the problem as the dash will shut off or if you do have a different issue relating to the dash ecu as you suggested.
