Hi All

Tuscan MK1 2002
The internal button for opening the drivers door has stopped working, the door opens from the mirror switch and the passenger is working fine. Is this a common problem and any ideas of how to repair ?

yes is a common problem, the control boxes for the door openers are located under the centre console towards the back. It may just be a connection issue, try first squirting a little contact cleaner on the connectors. You can also try swapping them over and this will then confirm that it is a control box issue if the problem then affects the passenger side.

Not sure if it's the door control ECU. If this would be the fault the door wouldn't open any way.
I would check the connector inside the door. On my Tuscan the connector was corroded and the door didn't open from time to time until it stopped working competely.

It could also be the connection between body and door.
It is a bayonet lock connector. Pretty tight to reach. But on mine one pin did not have proper contact which resulted in exactly the same problem you experience.
Have fun!
