Rain light question

For an MSA formula, can the rain light be behind the rear window (inside the car)?

I had an LED rain light inside my Fiesta showing through the rear window for a few years with no comment from scruitineers.

I've seen quite a few like this, I'm assuming this is to cover off the light being damaged/disabled in the event of contact...

I personally have mine on the outside of the boot lid.

I don't really want to drill holes in my bumper or bootlid, that's all, I'd rather have it on a bracket inside the car which can be removed.

mine is at high level inside the car showing through the rear window, never had an issue

Mine passed scrutineering like this yesterday.

confirmed it with the 750 motor club yesterday, it's fine!
