@ the two posters above - given the OP still appears to be alive and posting on PH one would assume he pulled over in a safe place or even took the picture after getting off the motorway.

Good work, looked at the headline figure a couple of times before I noticed the 78.9 on the trip.

My dad told us, when we were kids that when his Capri had gone over 100,000 on the way home it beeped the horn when it happened to mark the occasion, and we believed him biggrin

Funny thing is now, of it did that it wouldnt actually seem remarkable.

Given the reliability of the electrics on that era of Ford, it would be quite believable smile

This for me was pure chance, as I pulled into a car park space sometime last year.

Yes, I am the kind of person who resets the trip computer at the stroke of 10,000 miles.

And somewhere in my Photobucket account is the blurry photo of the time I got 123456 miles on my old e36 with 789.0 on the trip computer because I was bored enough to work out when I had to hit reset then as well.

I've got one coming up on my Porsche. Considering it's a 996 and they are all meant to blow up with IMS failure or bore scoring at 60K miles it's doing pretty well!

Given the telltale on the dash and the speedo is resting on 0mph, one would assume the handbrake was on and the car was travelling at 0mph.
