Evoque purchase: offered LR 'Smart Policy': any good?

Other half has just bought a new Evoque from an LR main dealer and has been offered this three year additional 'Smart Policy' for £499. Any marks under 30cm will be sorted - door dings, stone chips, scrapes and the like. Allowed 18 claims over the three years.

Is this worth it; anyone partaken? I see it is actually Car Care Plan Ltd who administers the policy and so perhaps there's a deal to be done leaving LR out of the equation? I said don't bother but wanted to look into it, as she is considering it.
