I hate the low life thieving scumbags who think they have some god given right to break into other peoples property and take their hard earned property. We had the shed broken into last night and a load of power tools and my KR1 stolen.
Reported to the BiB for what it's worth.

I would love to get hold of the low life who did this and ........

Yes it would be and yes Bl@@dy rare, not sure it's replacable really only had 11k on the clock.

We've had a good look around this morning, but no sign, we would rather have it back than the insurance money, it'll be a real shame if it gets wrecked, as it has been well looked after.

Even more infuriating is,they probably don't even know that it's rare & will flog it for peanuts, or worse.

I remember some years ago seeing on the news a chap that kept getting his house broken into. Anyway, he bought himself an expensive looking clock, coated it with Cyanide (or some such) and left it on his mantlepiece. Sure enough, some scrote broke into his house and pinched. He then reported the incident to the police, but got a severe rap over the knuckles for his actions.

My insticts (like many others, I guess), was "great idea and good on ya mate".

What sort of padlock did you have on the shed. I'm thinking mine isn't nearly heavy enough.

Heartfelt commiserations. I've only ever had push bikes stolen when I was a kid but fear this sort of thing will happen to me one day.

I would love to rig the car and shead to the mains so that any unauthorised person attempting to acces the same would get 240 volts at a minimal ampage - I think this is what you need mearly to throw they a 100 foot or so rather than kill?

Only problem is that a bloke that tried this got sent to cling for ABH when it fried a crim.

Don't replace anything just yet. They'll wait a few weeks and come back for more.

I suggest wiring your shed into your household alarm. Put a sensor on the door, at least you'll get a warning. I'd also find a local ironmonger and have him make up a steel cage for your powertools (will only cost a couple of hundred).

or, buy a rottweiler and keep that in the shed!

I occasionally visit prisons and talk to some of these yobs. It's interesting the one thing they tend to fear more than anything else is "a dog". Makes you think. Best type of alarm, because it could also bite.

B@rstards! I hope their balls drop off!I know what it's like though.I bought a mint Ducati Pantah 600 a few years ago.The local pond life tried to steel it from my garage,I had owned it for two days! They didn't get through the garage door fortunately.But they still caused £400.00 worth of damage to it!

Thanks guys,the padlocks were heft great things, but they prized the hasp off,as it's a wooden door, ordinarily we don't keep much beyond the lawn mower in that shed, sods law that we've been using it for storage, whilst fitting the kitchen.

Police phoned and took all the details of the bike, and a few of the young lads off the estate are going to keep their eyes peeled and ears to the ground.

Spoke to my Dad last night - apparently he and five of the neighbours had the aerials nicked off their cars one night last week. Because the scrotes couldn't just snap the aerial they pulled the whole thing out, denting the roof of his car.

One of the neighbours called the police, who said there wasn't much they could do and recommended that each party contact their insurers.

It was such a nice area when I was a kid. Now when I go back there I keep a bedroom window open so that I've got a better chance of hearing someone breaking into my car or the house.
