Own a 1997 mantis, Air con is playing up - where can I get it re-charged locally to Sussex?

Please dont suggest that I contact Marcos Heritage - not in my good books after fcuking me about over a stainless exhaust that they still havent got right.

Also need to get the tracking adjusted - nowhere seems to have the settings!

Regassing can be done at any aircon specialist - hgave a look in yellow pages if no-one comes up with something better.

Not sure about suspension settings. Assuming you can get the info, any decent garage could do it.

Whereabouts in Sussex are you? Whoever does your servicing should be able to phone MHS and get the settings from them.

Get ours done by Interporsche in Sayers Common. 01273 834241 if you need their services. Speak to Don. All round top man who does a good job at a reasonable price. What about you?

I took a bit of a gamble last year and had it done at Frosts in Shoreham - Chevvy, Corvette and Lotus dealership. They didn't do to bad a job but were very expensive, and were a bit unsure on certain factors.

Had an M.O.T done by their Fast Fit / Vauxhall side and had a very hard job convincing them that they couldn't fail it on the brakes (claimed that the servo wasn't working) - Numpty!

Will give Interporsche a call and see what they can do.

Good excuse to give it a blast up the A23

What's the problem with the exhaust?

First one didn't fit! No where close

Took it back along with the original Janspeed system and was told : 'No Problem, we will have a new one sorted within a couple of days'

Three hot sunny weeks later, after numerous phone calls a replacement finally arrived.

It needed a few modifications to the brackets with a large hammer, had to cut a one inch section of pipe off that was protruding throught the flange and managed to get it to fit!


It looked like it had been made by a YTS trainee!

Result??

Nope - one tailpipe is two inches longer than the other - phoned MHS and still waiting for a reply.

A Bargain £500 = VAT!

That all sounds like a bit of a nightmare! And there was me considering a sports exhaust.

Seems I should maybe think again, or find someone who can do me one cheaper that actually fits.
