I realise how silly this might be now, but for a special occasion I took my deepsea to a jewellers (specialist workshop type) and asked them to clean and polish it. Its around 3 years old.

Im convinced the actual satin finish left over is not quite right, it seems a little dull.

Whats the best way to have this redone, does it have to go to rolex ? and if so does that mean its away for some time ?

I don't know if Rolex do polishes only. You might have better luck taking it to a Rolex AD and asking them, but not sure if they can touch DeepSeas. Some indys will be so good you'd swear you'd be habded a new watch back, but the trouble is that yo don't know until you've used them.

If all you need is a clean/polish just take it to your local AD.

Most larger AD's have a professional watchmaker who is on the premises if not daily at least a few times a week and if it's just a polish then that can usually be done in house without sending to Rolex.

In case of any use I took my Daytona 116519 into rolex one Hyde park to get serviced. Watch has hardly been worn but as it's a 2007 I figured I should plus I am lookin to sell it so now it has the benefit of a rolex 2 year warranty

Timeline was I rceived a quote about a week after I dropped it in and got it back about 3 weeks after that so not too bad. Cost was £500 as it was a full service - i too am curious about how to get a polish only. My gmt has light use scratches on the shiny links which I may want doing at some stage but as the watch is only 2 years old it won't need a service for a while

Any details on the Daytona and ball park figure? One of these is next on my tick list!
