A37(TempleCloud)Scamera not correctly calibrated?
Discussion
Warning about the accuracy/calibration/consistency etc of this Gatso unit.
I witnessed several slow moving cars being flashed by the Gatso Scamera on the A37(TempleCloud/Camely)today.
The traffic lights had just changed from red & traffic was backed up a good 100 yards past the Gatso. So the whole line of traffic was just pulling away as normal,no hard accelerating/over-taking etc,I would estimate 15-20mph max(limit is 30)the gatso flashed a good 6 cars.
There was no traffic moving in the opposite direction either.
Beware if using this route
I have written a letter expressing my concern over this device to the relevent BANES authority.

BANES?
who they then?
just wondering, if we keep putting in letters, expressing concern over the accuracy of their scameras, would they spend an awful lot of time going round and checking?
not that one would advocate doing this in a purely 'waste scameras time and money' type way, of course
