Hello All

I've taken the plunge. At 18 I vowed that when I hit 30 I would be able to look back on my 20s and think, "wow what a ride". I can safely say that has happened and I've capped it off with a final flourish... a 1985 Rolex Air King (not from the year I was born but the year I was conceived as my dad swiftly pointed out). I've wanted a Rolex for years and, as I've already got a Seamaster, was looking to go for something a bit more "dressy". The Air King seemed to cover all the boxes I was looking for perfectly.

Thanks to all on PH who's discussion on other threads helped inform my choice and gave me a lot of useful information when it came to purchase.

Below are a couple of pics;

The only down-side is that now my wife is starting to "get" high-end watches. Having promised her something Swiss for her 30th, she's now starting to get some clear ideas about what she would like... this could get pricey!

Thanks! Yeah, you're not wrong about marital expense. I'm lucky, she's not the kind of girl that can size up a diamond at 50 paces but she does seem to gravitate to expensive stuff without realising it's expensive. However she didn't even bat an eyelid when I suggested getting the Air King so I'm not complaining.
