Hi,

I've booked my car in to have the wheels resprayed and i'd appreciate any suggestions on what colour to go for other than original? I'm leaning towards Titanium grey or black and wondered if there are any owner's out there with pictures of their cars in Ocean Blue that have moved away from the standard choice colour wheel? My wheels are RUF 19in 5 spoke.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,
D

I've always though Ruf wheels look superb in bright silver. These may help

I agree the Ruf wheels in silver look good but i'm really looking for a change. I do like the pics of the Ruf wheels in what looks like titanium, especially on white and black and i think this colour would look great with Ocean Blue.

What about weissgold or platinum (some of the current finishes offered by Porsche- works well with dark blue.

Mine were done by 'The Wheel Specialist' (not sure which branch as they were done before my purchase). So I'm told by a friend in the business that they did a proper job black under the final top coat. My photography doesn't do justice unfortunately but in certain lights they look black/ metallic silver. The inside of the rim is Sprayed black. I think the turbo twist wheels look good in plain silver. Incidendtly, Ocean blue- lovely colour changing in different lights , some times even looks black.cool

Smoked or Black Chrome, best of all worlds. Inners are black to hide brake dust outer faces are a smoked chrome which will set off the blue very well.
The outer faces also hide brake dust quite well.

I'm having a similar dilemma with wheels. Just bought a 997.2 C4S, would put pics up but not sure how to do it yet but thats another story.

I've got 19" Carrera Classics and want to change them, just don't know which wheel or which colour. I've heard of people doing a photoshop imagery to see your car with different wheels before purchase but not sure how to do it or who can do it.

Good luck with whichever you choose

A dark bronze might work if you don't want silver. White can work but it's not subtle!

I'd love to see a picture of these wheels.

Sorry Darren just a pic I pulled off the internet to demonstrate the finish, could do you a pic of the daily driver FR Leon with smoked chrome wheels but it isn't going to be the same smile

Understood and thanks for the offer but i think you are right that seeing the wheels on a Leon wouldn't be right.

With Monday fast approaching i'm still no clearer as to whether I stay with silver or opt for a darker colour.
