Coronation Street star sits on Jordan (F1 car!)
Discussion
Curvy Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay left race car owners with a £100,000 bill when she sat on a Formula One car – and broke it!
Actress Sally, who plays busty barmaid Shelly Unwin, was a guest of honour at a charity go-kart race.
But as she parked her bum on the half-million pound Jordan vehicle – built to withstand a 200mph crash – the carbon-fibre shell cracked open.
Ironically, her Corrie character Shelly is currently being forced to shed the pounds by her abusive onscreen lover Charlie, played by actor Bill Ward.
An onlooker at the event said red-faced Sally looked horrified and added: “Sally just sat on the car and all of a sudden there was an almighty crack.
She got up straight away but the damage was already done.
Sally looked rather sheepish - the car is worth a fortune. Its nose cone alone cost £25,000.
Some of the bosses were looking on in astonishment but they were too polite to say anything.
But once Sally had walked off they all gathered around to inspect the damage.
The car, once driven by Heinz-Harald Frentzen, was one of the centrepieces of Sunday’s event organised by EastEnders' Shane Ritchie at Manchester's Daytona centre.
A fan said: Sally is a very well-upholstered lass but I think it was really that she sat on the car in a particularly weak place.

I couldn't resist this one, mind you, she's not a bad looking lass !
Weatherfield, Saturday. Before Narain Karthikeyan has even raced a Jordan, the team already have a whopping repair bill to foot. It appears that a young lady of generous build, one Sally Lindsay, who is a cast member of something called 'Coronation Street', has caused £100,000 of damage to one of the team’s cars – just by sitting on it.
Sally, who plays Shelley Unwin in the long running soap was at a charity event when she parked her big fat arse on the car which promptly broke. One onlooker said: "There was an almighty crack. Sally looked rather sheepish. The car is worth a fortune - its nose cone alone cost £25,000." Sally may have felt ‘sheepish’ but Jordans drivers must be more than a little worried – wondering that if a tubby TV star can do that with her bottom, what will the barriers at the top of Eau Rouge do to it ?
