Steering and judder

I've noticed that when I come out of a parking space in my 997.2 and turning the steering into full lock that a couple of things happen...

Firstly it feels like the tyres are juddering as I reverse and it can be heard in the cabin - like a jumping / dragging type noise.

Secondly there is a point in the power steering where it feels like the resistance dramatically drops towards the end of turning towards the full lock.

Is this normal or is something amiss?

Its the ackerman effect and totally normal. The bigger the wheels and wider the tyres the worse the effect.

Also, some tyres mask it more than others.
