Shelf Life of Oil

I hve just found a used bottle of AFT220, just the right stuff to put into the Chimaera gearbox. It has the original cap on and further sealed with electrical insulating tape. Is there any reason i should not use it to top up the gearbox ? Does oil go off, get affected by moisture ingress etc

AFAIK should be OK, brake fluid goes off once opened but I think oil is OK.

BTW I am using "Putoline" 2 stroke oil in my old KTM motcrosser and kid's bike and Quad that I've had since 1987 - I got a job lot at a "good price"
