ive just read on another thread about a chap who was having trouble with his speedo reading incorrect. apparently he eventually sussed it by using a gps system to collate the data correctly. is there anyone local to me (south wales) who could help me out with the same as i fear i have the same problem.
cheers

This might just confuse matters, but what is wrong? Is it over or under reading as a result of changed gear ratios or tyres/wheels? If so there is a company somewhere in London (I'm sure I can dig the details out) who can recalibrate your speedo if you send it to them along with the correct info about your car.

You can do the same thing yourself using the marker boards every hundred meters along motorways. Just drive along at constant indicated speed, time how long it takes to drive past sixteen marker boards, that's your measured mile, calculate actual speed from distance and time.

The speedo recailbration company is Speedy Cables - used to be in London, now in South Wales.

Number listed on Yell is 01992 581600 - may be redirected to the new location. Nothing on the website www.speedycables.co.uk but I know they're still around becuase they helped me out a few months ago when CAI (Smiths) couldn't send me the right senders for my gauges.
