Wembley Cup Finals on a Sunday late afternoon
Discussion
I guess, because of TV?????
Do they get a bigger audience than on a Saturday, or even a Sunday lunchtime KO?
This year's Capital One Cup Final will be on Sunday 28th Feb, K.O. 4.30pm. Between Liverpool and Manchester City. At Wembley.
Assuming no extra time, game over at 6.15pm, presentations, etc, leave ground at 7pm, shuffle down Wembley Way, tube, train home from Euston at 7.45pm earliest.....
I am fortunate to have the use of (very nice) Club Wembley corporate facilities, but very few football-supporting clients (including two Liverpool fans) are interested in being at Wembley on a Sunday night - almost entirely due to work commitments on the Monday. I'd imagine many 'normal' supporters/season-ticket holders would be in the same boat.
So, why???
