Just played a competitive game of 5-a-side, at one point the opposition only had 3 players on the pitch as 2 had been sent off (1 for minor swearing but uncalled for, and the other for tripping me as I was about to shoot into an open goal).

They weren't even a dirty team.

Having played 5-a-side for 2 years, I'd never even played against a team with one player sent off, never mind two.

Anyone else got a story of sending offs?

Just seemed ridiculous, 1 off, so why decide to deny a blatant goal scoring opportunity.

Just seemed a bit

Yeah we've had a couple of our players sent off before.
Normally spend a few minutes off the pitch and then are allowed back on. Usually sent off for aggression / abuse to the referee :')

Back in the early 1980s a bunch of us played 5 a side on a friday night as a precurser to playing together on saturdays and sundays, this was local football where men were men and the sheep were scared.
well the friday night sessions were more like ice hockey and could get a bit sparky, but it was always sorted over a beer, that was until we decided to put 2 teams in the local 5 a side league, it was in the days when you used to have to commit murder to get sent off! it certainly put the cat among the pigeons for a few weeks until we learnt the "rules"
