Has anyone else heard about the recall on the V8? My dealer called me yesterday and said i should be receiving a letter. Apparently a wiring loom needs replacing because there is a possibility that it can get hot, melt and short out. I assuming this is what happened to the guy on the other thread who said his Mustang burst into flames?

Had it done to mine before collection.

Its a bit of foil tape and some cable ties to move the positive battery terminal wire out of the way of the manifold, presumably to stop it melting and catching fire etc..

Takes an hour at most for the service guys to sort

Taking my car into the dealers tomorrow morning for the recall. I believe my car to be the first they will fit a modified part to for this recall.

I will post a quick report once I collect the car.
