Sorry chaps. Been too busy hooning around Surrey and getting the CO absolutely filthy. Weirdly my, faithful for 17 year's, BMW wouldn't start today. She must be jealous biggrin

I popped out to the next village to pick up some sausages for me tea and ended up putting another 60 miles on the GT.

Loving it.

After never having seen one on the road, I was heading down a dark narrow lane when a car coming in the opposite direction squeezed past. At first the tri bars didn't make me twig but then I saw the rear lights. Another Mustang.

Hope you waved! Really pleased for you and glad you're loving it. Not jealous at all smile

What are your thoughts on the exhaust note? Beefy enough?

The exhaust note is great. I hear it as I'm driving so I'm happy. Nice but not very intrusive.

Loving the feel of the car. Feels really solid yet handles really well and has acquitted itself really well down the narrow country lanes that are common around here.

Did a bit of motorway today and the shove from 70mph and the roar of the engine are all grin inducing and the car is as straight as an arrow at 1.0+ leptons. Brakes can pop out your eyeballs and I nearly crashed my old Beemer when I drove it just now and very lightly tapped the brake pedal with my foot and didn't stop biggrin

No losing the back end moments down the damp and muddy country lanes.....yet I am hustling the big coupe along, just taking it smooth.

Only moment was on a fast dual carriageway that you had to enter from side road. So a stationary left turn into traffic all doing 80.

Smoothly got it onto the A road and then accelerated hard in 3rd as the traffic was catching up. Back went slightly sideways at 70 ish. I was dead straight when that happened.

Seats are so comfortable. Hold you snug and loads of different positions along with the many adjustments of the steering wheel. I do like the dial and ambient lights that you can change the colour of. Currently I have everything a nice deep red, a bit like being in a sub that is being depth charged.

The Sat Nav says caution every now and then. I then realised that it was pointing out the speed cameras. That's a bonus I didn't know about. My first car that syncs to my phone and that all works well.

The 'Cockpit' is a very nice place to be, especially at night.

I hadn't intended to use it to get to work but as long as I can get parking at the various places I head for, I may well be using the Mustang a lot more than I thought.

My BMW has not let me down in the 17 years I have owned her but today she would not start and I had to get Green Flag out. I suspect she is jealous biggrin

Didnt realise it had speed camera warnings will have to test mine out in the morning, was this a POI you activated or does it just come on.

Have you noticed the teeny wee compass on the MFD on the dash yet? was wondering what it was then I changed direction biggrin

The voice control is so much better than the Audi one I had, and can understand me just fine which I think is a nice touch.

So much better handling than the S197, I havent gotten mine out of shape yet but I am driving like a nun currently!

Only gripes are:

Wish the wing mirrors would fold all the way in when you lock the car, if it does this and I have missed it then I am a plank

Wish the boot open button on the back was higher up as its quite a bend down you have to do to press it

but other than that I couldnt be happier with mine either!

Not sure what I have activated. I think it was hazards POI in the navigation menu.

I found the reason that all the UK Mustangs driver's door mirrors don't fold in as much as the passenger side.

The black stalks the mirror housings are on are different.

Driver's side is more straight out whilst the passenger side is more swept back.

Started mine up at 650 this morning to take my boy to school. I let it be for 5 mins so it could demist. The rumbling sounded lovely from within the house biggrin

Luckily I'm detached by quite a bit.

Once again the camera doesn't do the Comp Orange justice.

Yes - with regard to the nav menu and hazard warning, I think you can have visual and voice, just visual or nothing. The voice got on my tits after 5 mins so I switched to visual only.

With regard to letting it idle, here's a bit of info that may or may not be applicable to the Coyote. The handbook to my 500SL recommends that you never let it idle for extended periods of time, especially from cold - just get in and drive (carefully until it warms up), apparently it reduces wear and tear. Not sure how true it is but since reading that I've always adhered to it.

Another thought - as it's now getting colder can anyone confirm/deny the rumour that you get a pony logo on the bonnet if it's frosty? This weekend is supposed to be pretty cold so a good opportunity to find out.

Have heard the pony rumor before but not noticed anything in the last 2 days etc... biggrin

Would be rather cool if it did.

Yay......just set my NAV to 'help' with speed camera locations. I completely missed this, so thanks for pointing it out! :-)

Another quick one for you tec guys..... On the window sticker/build sheet for my car it lists a 'universal garage opener'. I have seen this on previous models & it was a few programmable buttons on the sun visor.

I could not see anything listed in the manual?

I have also enquired about rear passenger foot mats for the Mustang. There is nothing currently showing for UK RHD as yet. Made a set of rubber ones for now......

Unfortunately I suspect this notice on the window sticker is probably applicable here:

Croyde, can't see from the photos, but did you stick with the standard front numberplate holder?

Your colour combo looks great by the way, makes my magnetic look boring.

Competition Orange, to me the best colour, I will be ordering a V8 in CO in a couple of months. I am going for the ceramic interior, no custom pack as I want the black wheels, but adding the rear sensors, upgraded ICE and climate seats. Probably go for the black stripes as well.

I ordered before I saw Ceramic. The, almost black and white, cartoon like pic on the configurator looked awful.

Seen in the flesh it looks great and I wish I had ticked the box.

However as all I see are the dials, top of the steering wheel and that beautiful long orange bonnet, along with those muscular CO haunches in the mirrors, when I'm driving, it doesn't really matter now biggrin

Thanks for that! I've had a Mondeo with Sync 2 since June and never found that before.
