BlackSix..what's the story?...
"Once upon a time in 2012.... " could be the opening line of the story...
I do hope that whatever the problems are, they can be sorted, one way or another.

HOWEVER - What is missing is the bell housing, clutch assembly and transmission, along with a brace of Webers, starter motor, ignition system and engine management system. I have no doubt that this is all a result of financial ineptitude at some location OTHER THAN Devon. Chris is struggling to get this all sorted out. I am sure that somehow we will arrive at a successful conclusion to all of this.
The most disconcerting aspect of the entire project is that the (much) delayed deliver of a complete drivetrain has NOT been the major source of the delays in the project. Delivery of the restored and modified E Type shell drug on to such an extent that I finally took delivery of the FHC as is (there were zero financial shenanigans with this part of the project - simply delays) and I am doing the restoration of the tub entirely in house. Actually, it all turned out well, as I have now learned the use of that wonderful contrivance know as an English Wheel and have now wheeled the custom rear wings required to house the 255 series 45 tires (mounted on 16"x9" Dayton wire wheels) which will be required to put the power to the ground. It was all quite a learning experience (and a much better one that I have had with RND)and I am enjoying it immensely. So much so in fact that I am contemplating wheeling my own aluminum bonnet for the project, as opposed to purchasing one. I love the panel-beating / wheeling thing. Not really as difficult as it appears.
Next step - on to the rotisserie for a TOTAL tub/monocoque rebuild. :-)
To provide some balance, the engineering is sound - the problem is when you are not in control of the build process and it's being farmed out to third parties, it will always end up at the 'bottom of the pile' and you are beholden to time scales you have no control over.

As I said, he has nothing and owes loads. Contacting him is unlikely to be productive.
With regards to how they have ended up in this situation. They took orders, made commitments they couldn't meet and continued to repeat the process. Yes they were at the 'mercy' of third parties but they also dumped, in one go and without notice, years of work on a small market place area that was already near capacity. That was there choice and decision. As was telling people what the timescales were.
It is a shame as the approach and solutions were well thought out.
