Not strictly spotted. More an excuse to post a pic of our rental in its homeland! We've just come back from L.A. having rented an ecoboost convertible. The engine was punchy enough, but the sound didn't fit the car at all! We had a 3.7 V6 in Florida back in October which sounded much better. If I bought one though, it'd be a fastback V8!
I was out walking my dogs yesterday evening when I noticed this had appeared on a neighbor's driveway overnight. He was out there scratching his head and looking at it, as if to say, "What the hell have I got myself into here". Turns out it's a (not uncommon) '72 with a 302 two barrel and 3 sp trans. It's a bit 'frilly' round the edges, but all that sheet metal can be bought for buttons here. Looks like the basis for a nice fixer-upper and perfect for cruising around central FL. The tow hitch will have to go.
