My first V10 M and forum cherry

Good evening Ladies and Gents,
I thought id introduce myself and my E60 M5.
I've been registered on here a while, but not got round to posting anything. After seeing some of the photos from the Sunday services and being inspired to attend a couple this year I thought it better to introduce myself rather than just turn up.
I've loved these things since they were released and always made it my goal to own one before I was 30, so in April last year (2015 - it will take me another 3month at least before I realise its 2016) at the ripe old age of 28 I threw caution to the wind and bit the bullet.
I looked at a couple of cars privately and they left quite a lot to be desired, one I saw in the show room of an independent dealer even had a door card hanging off and had an airbag light on! in the end I found this 2008 BMW AUC from a main dealer over on the west coast and had it. I'm glad I waited.

The thing that I found most surprising about the car is just how sedate it can be. Its probably the easiest and least intimidating car I've ever driven.
Anyway, I look forward to contributing and getting to see some of the stunning cars on here.

I think silver looks bang on for these.Not sure I could ever stomach the ownership costs but this car left a mark with me after being a passenger in one that maybe true BMW fans should experience owning one if in the financial position to do so.
The best BMW by far in my eyes.

I agree that shade of silver looks pukka on that M5! Sort of an anthracite twang?! Need some interior shots! One of my main reasons ive never bought a bimmer is i dont like the inside. Are these much different to a regular 5?

The insurance is in my opinion pretty cheap at just a smidge over £500, it was about £100 cheaper for a much newer and more powerful F10 M5 strangely.
Normally i'm not that fond of grey/silver cars, but the colour really does suit the car and photos don't really do it justice. Its 'Space Grey Metallic' and has a depth too it.
Its an approved used car so comes with a normal BMW AUC Warranty which I haven't had to use. I will be taking out the BMW insured warranty once it expires just for piece of mind. I've covered about 7500miles since buying it and its not missed a beat.
