Except that with that amount of storm water run off you have no way of knowing how long the remaining bit will hold up.
I have seen first hand elsewhere how fast erosion can occur. Further collapse can be instantaneous with little or no warning.

Not long afterwards.

Fast flowing water has tremendous force. Once you're in it's a one-way ticket to a very rough ride.

I can't below you drove through. When I first watched it I thought it was water just starting to flood the road, then on watching again I see the road had already fell away into the river. You were very very lucky,. .... The BBC drone film shows just how lucky you were.

Utterly amazing and frightening at the same time.
