Station Wagon middle cross member

Hello,
is it possible to replace the top-hat centre crossmember (just below 2nd row seats rear floor) by removing the triangular body panel(s) betweenrear door and wheel arch and sliding the old part out and new part in?

The crossmember is this bit:
