T5 gearbox leak
Discussion
I recently had a fluid leak from the gearbox which was diagnosed as the slave. I had this changed, but still have a non corrosive weep which seems to be from the crankshaft. It drips right at the back of the gearbox.
I've had the tailshaft seal done a few years ago, so don't think it's that. The engine was recently rebuilt, with a new block by Dom.
I have been looking at the parts sites but am unsure what seal to replace. There seem to be two optons.
1. TVR E1276 Oil seal for rear of crankshaft This oil seal fits into the rear oil seal casting that mounts to the rear of the engine block and the sump casting
OR
2. TVR T45F 054R OE oil seal for front of T5 gearbox.
I am not fitting this myself and am no mechanic. If it is the first option, does this mean removing the clutch and gearbox? If the second option, is it just removing the gearbox, leaving the clutch, slave and bellhousing in situ? I've had a look at the set up of the gearbox but don't really know how it works. Thanks

My local Jag mechanic has had a look and thinks that it is gearbox oil. It is non corrosive, so I don't think it is clutch fluid. It is either engine oil from the crankshaft or from the gearbox front seal. It doesn't look like it is from the tailshaft seal. I am hoping just a front gearbox seal. I guess I won't know until the box is off
