Positioning the steering rack

Hi again
It's been 25 years since I first fitted it (and six weeks since I removed it).
There's the two grub screws in the mounting blocks and there are two dimples in the rack. Did I put them there when I screwed the screws in the first time or are they original.
What is the best (correct) way of re fitting the rack? Getting the screws to re align with the dimples?

The build manuals of the time had the builder drill in to the rack a wee bit, from the grub screw holes once aligned, to create those positioning dimples. So if you only have one pair of dimples, they are most likely ones you drilled yourself to align your rack, when you first built it. The grub screws align to them - as long as your right and left rack clamps go back where they came from, and with the front and back edge of the clamp where they were before. ;-)

One of the few things I didn't get when I bought it back was the build manual (also the Petty bar, the tonneau and the long allen key for the sump). Did receive my original letters to Caterham etc
So I guess the actual location, assuming the steering column etc lines up, need not be mm accurate.
(Did lay out the alloy blocks in their original position - but then moved them to clean them etc etc and now it's guesswork, although numbered so I can at least pair them up).
One thing that puzzles me is the lack of washers on some of the front suspension components. I'm a bit OCD about washers etc and I can't believe I built it like this but much of the suspension looks like it hasn't been undone in 25 years.
Any links to an exploded diagram please? 1990 live axle.
