Action cameras

Hi guys,

Has anyone got any real world experience with action cameras for use on a road bike ?

I'm looking for something small enough to fit under my garmin out front type mount like the go pro session. It needs to be small as my bike has gear and brake cables in this area.

All the reviews say the session has poor video though, so open to suggestion.

I've no intention of becoming a road warrior...... I want it for a cycling trip to Majorca in spring.

Hi Nighthawk, the following footage was taken on a GoPro Hero, when I was on the Ride London this year. The basic one at about £100, the sound is ordinarily quite good, but it picks up any noise etc. so is sensitive to a poorly serviced bike!

It appears a lot blocker on Youtube, in comparison to off the memory card, if this makes a difference, has a waterproof case etc.

Compression on YouTube videos does make things a tad tricky when looking at video quality.

With regards to sound, not really a concern at the moment. I can't imagine the string of expletives and grunting as I climb out of Sa Colabra adding much to the footage.
