Indoor 7 car cover, do or don't?
Discussion
I use a Voyager cover from Storm Car Covers.
Used in-doors (garage) when the 7 is not being used for any period.
The Sahara cover would be the other option for in-door only use.

I bought an Ultimate Outdoor Car Cover from classicadditions.com originally for my Mk1 MR2, it was a good fit for my Seven.
Soft on the inside with elasticated edging that pinched snugly under the wheels, also had vents to breathe and never had any problems what was our old draughty damp garage.

Ive heard mixed reviews on this - I'm thinking a dust cover, surely that will be ok ? Its a garage with no insulation, one external wall, plenty of draught etc. - So if a dust cover is ok, can anyone recommend one for an SV please?
thanks in advance.
If your garage gets damp, which it will if its just a 4" wall then you had better invest in this sort of thing http://www.carcoon.com Mines stored in one and keeps it dry dust free and deterioration is minimal compared to not having one, also cars get damp when its high humidity e.g. FOG so if you have a cover on the car the cotton ones will be damp and non breathable ones sweaty so go for a Carcoon or similarthanks in advance.
I used an ordinary indoor car cover, which was a bit like a fitted dust sheet, for five years or so. It wasn't particularly good, and was a pain to keep clean as it seemed to attract dust and debris like a magnet.
For the last five years I've been using a Stormforce, which is much, much better, and has the advantage that you can use it as an outdoor cover if you need to move your Seven out of the garage temporarily. See here for details:- http://www.stormcarcovers.co.uk/collections/stormf...
It's worth having a chat to Storm Car Covers about your requirements. The owner is a Seven enthusiast who can speak from experience, and the prices are good

I guess each to their own but the Carcoon (and similar airflow systems) For the last five years I've been using a Stormforce, which is much, much better, and has the advantage that you can use it as an outdoor cover if you need to move your Seven out of the garage temporarily. "Isolate from the constantly changing temperature and humidity of the ambient environment.
Stabilise by removing excess moisture, fuel/oil vapour and other contaminates from within the mini environment.
Ventilate using the patented Active Airflow Concept.
Circulate the air isolated within, by using Activated Carbon Filters under pressure."
I have used one for around 16 Years the First and Second point is probably the most important for me, Even the brake discs are virtually rust free at the end of winter
Hi use one in my garage - it is a corrugated iron garage (walls and roof)- it would be covered in dust if I didn't cover the car. Yes, it does get condensation on it if it is foggy or when a warm front comes in after a cold spell, but it doesn't seem to have harmed it much. I do drive it through the winter though....
The main tip is don't leave it with the handbrake on - you may find that the pads rust to the disk. You can release them by starting the engine and ldropping the clutch, but with only 18' before I hit the wall in front of the garage, you need to be ready to stop quickly!

I have one for my car. A must - as it permanently lives outside.
There is one for sale here on pistonheads in the Caterham classifieds section http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/parts-and-p...

That's more expensive than a brand new Stormforce from Storm Car Covers, which comes with a 2 year guarantee.

Never had any condensation with mine, BTW.
