I remember him from F3000, I was working for FOM between 1997 and 2002, he was the hotshot in F3000 and quite a lot of us were pleased when he moved over to IndyCar, I personally was looking forward to seeing what he could do in one of those cars, he was brilliant in F3000. What a pity we never got to find out.

I remember him, tragic loss. His accident at the Laguna Seca Corkscrew corner illustrates how dangerous although incredible the overtake Zanardi pulled on Herta in '96 jumping over the kerbs in the process, he simply did not brake.
