Racetech Mirrors - fitting / blanking original fixing points

Hi all,
I have recently bought an R400 from S&C, and would like to upgrade the mirrors as I really dont like the look of the Caterham standard onces. I know they provide good visibility, but I'd sacrifice a bit of mirror area for a better look.
I'd quite like to go for Racetech Mirrors in carbon, but is there a way of blanking the standard door fixing points with a 'factory look? What have others done?
Are there any other commonly used mirror upgrades that people would recommend?

I just replaced the bolts with newer black ones.
One advantage of moving the mirrors to the windscreen edge is that you can fold the doors and fit in the 'boot'. (Might depend on your roll bar, dunno, but fits in mine.) Having mirrors on the windscreen also means if you run doorless or with the small Perspex side screens you still have mirrors.
Disadvantage is that, as mentioned, doors won't swing past and over the bonnet.
My mirrors are from carbuildersolutions and are the large carbon effect ones, I had to drill and tap two holes per side, took 20mins.

Even when mounted on the screen you get some vibration, on the door you do get some vibration but the racetech miirrors are much better than standard CC ones. If you mount them as far forward as you can that minimises it but be careful if you go to far forward the mirrors hit the screen when you open the doors.
On the door I used the ones with a bend in the stalk and get the convex ones not flat.
I had mine for many years but they got a bit tatty so have just replaced with the SPA GT mirrors, better fixing to the door and they are a little larger. Technically the Racetech ones are too small for the road but mine went through many MOT's with no comment.

I had the Racetech ones but gave up on them and instead have the Spa mirrors. It did require my drilling 2 discrete holes on the scuttle in front of the stanchions, but the visibility at speed is far better when you put a small bit of bicycle inner tube under them. When I'm not using them I have done very nice stainless screws/rubber washers that properly cover the holes.
