I am not sure about others but I find the website shockingly slow on Android mobile devices. Also the Classifieds is a nightmare to use. So slow to load and when you view a car it then sends you back the start of model listing. Also because there are no free Ads for memebers the classifieds is less interesting and quite often the listings are expensive as number of trade Ad tend overprice them trying to trap enthusiasts where there same cars are less on more general sites. When there were more free private Ads then the trade have less chance of overpricing there vehicles. I have almost given up using the classifieds as it way way to clunky

So that will be why I've found I've stopped looking at the classifieds as much, There is a total of 82 private ads for cars under £1000 for the whole country on Pistonheads, Autotrader have 4000 private ads at same £1000 level. Classifieds on pistonheads is much less of a destination these days and that will eventually lead to the trade bypassing it for better pickings else where.

I know it is hassle doing free ads for us, but you might find it makes you more money in the long run, if you have more people searching and buying from pistonheads adverts.

Yeah...totally agree.
Or at least make it free when you have contributed X amount to the forum.

They already give free ads to those who've been members since (I think) 1st January 2009

PH isn't what it was as in the begining. I've had problems, in particular with ad.crwdcntrl.net running, and slowing it all to a crawl. And the IT response is to send a screen dump if it doing it's thing!! What the hell will that tell them I've not idea, don't they know what they have/allow to run on their own website/ I've given up looking at it on my mobile, it's almost unusable. Ads not so good these days, and lots of irriations on how the website functions. This is what happens when you sell out to a big, faceless organisation I'm afraid, a symptom of our times.
