Has any of the lads on here taken their 3200 on a track day ?
If so what have you made of the experience ?
The Good and Bad points of your cars re : coping with the track, performance etc ?

Thanks
Pete

only to bruntingthorpe, and I've not really 'pushed' it through the corners there. Good chance to turn off the traction and stick it in sport and destry some rear tyres!

Found it fun, but in the end it's no GT3!!

very true !
I took asr off yesterday and had a blast !
Bloody Ell !!!
You do have to fight to keep the car on the track let alone in a straight line !

Tyres held well, against the chassis and weight though. Great in the straights but totally too much power through the chassis which made it soo much fun ! When you get the chance then push the car without ASR and but use a track like bedford where you cant hit anything!
Got some clips of the car been pushed and will put video up shortly.

For whats its worth from what I experienced yesterday you are playing with danger if driven on the road without ASR! But on the track - Its a Riot ! Love it!
In sports mode though the journey is more responsive.

Now all I need is a good track car !

True enough, theres rarely a reason to turn off the ASR on the road, you ahve sport mode after all, and I tend to find that if sport mode starts nannying you, you're being a nutter!!

Oh dear, nanny was out in force last night
The car gets very unsettled after hitting those
slow down strips as speed. All said and done, the road was very greasy.

ASR , lets me know when i'm taking the piss!

Love to get it on a track but LV don't cover it

cool thats two of us - would be good to see the 4200 there - all we need are a few more and perhaps open to all italian cars to make a great photo shoot as well ?

maybe if we ask trackdemon nicely - he could help out ?

trust me on this - we should use bedford autodrome - just incase we all decide to turn of asr !!!

looking at holding event in the Month of June ?
anyone else ?

Pete,

This is one of the little ventures I've been working on (to add to the Anglesey day I'm running in April). I'm thiking of running a day at Bedford using SouthWest circuit in the morning, GT in the afternoon. There would of course be instructors available, all the usual trackday trimmings and it would be open pitlane.
Problem is you'd need 100 cars signed at around £200 to make the day viable in June, I've been looking at running a day in March or maybe later in the year at around the £190 mark, but with less people on track at any given time so better value. Will keep you posted either way!

cheers,
Steve
