Talk to me about these watches.

Looking at a rather nice looking orange faced automatic one for sale and the resale prices look good, ( looking to buy to wear not sell on) but don't really know much about them.

I think that Ebel has always been a bit of a left-field choice. The Wave models seemed to sell well a few years ago but I believe that overall UK Ebel sales have dropped to the point that the brand was considering pulling out of the UK market.

The 1911 models are not to my taste but I have a mate that really likes them and has a couple. I'm not so certain on residuals however. I don't think that they are that strong or that there is a big market for them. My suggestion would be to buy pre-owned, if you can.

I've owned an Ebel in the past and agree with Spice Weasel's comments. However, there's no doubting Ebel quality. My Ebel was superbly built. If you can find a pre-owned Ebel at a good price, it could be a gem.
