Thinking About MC12

Thinking about joining the MP4 12C club, I currently have 2 GTR's a 35 at 650BHP and 34 at 750BHP Also an EVO Race/Road car at 722 BHP and a Juno Race Car.
Will the drive be exciting enough, I certainly like the look of the cars and the interior plus back to the mid engine feeling.
However all the cars I have listed and saved adverts on haven't moved in a fortnight, not one of them. Is everyone waiting for the 540 and 570?
Something will have to go if I get the Macca

I think you'll need a 650S. There's a reason 12Cs are good value, compare them to 458 prices.

12C has done the majority of its depreciation and is a real supercar bargain at the moment IMHO. Better, rarer and cheaper than a 458. Find a low mileage used one that's cheaper than a 570S would be my advice

The 12C is virtually the same car as the 650S. The 650S is improved in a number of areas but given previous comments most of the differences are not significant but the later 12C's have a better build quality than the earlier cars, although by now most of the early cars will have had any issues resolved. For resale reasons primarily it is best to get a car with the ISIS 2 fitted, it is a definite improvement.
Personally I chose a 12C over a 650C simply because I preferred the looks...the front so the difference and I think the 650S looks weird, whereas the 12C is fantastic from all angles, and even if it is not as good as a 650S, I do not care because it is still fantastic!

As soon as I saw the first pics of 650S with the P1 front design I just went wow, now that really does look like a supercar ( I didn't even realise the link to P1 at the time ). I think its a great "corporate nose" and obviously something Woking are going to carry over to future models judging from the 570S.
Yes overall the performance differences between 12C and 650S are minimal on the road apart from the massive increase in torque 70Nm which is really noticeable.
Where the 650S scores big time over 12C for me was the subjective feel/emotion part where it sounds and feels so much more alive.
You have to drive both back to back for some time to realise how much more excitement it brings to the whole occasion.
Both great cars, 650S being an evolution/improvement over 12C.
Despite my own preference for 650S my advice would be to buy 12C if you are on a strict budget, seek value for money and save at least £50k
Suggest you go and try one. I test drove a 650S and was expecting it to be good. It wasnt. It is not an event to drive, had to keep looking in the mirrors to remind myself what I was driving. Very quick, good around the handling track, but was just a bit to dull and polished - perhaps too good? It felt like it was designed for wealthy people who want a good looking car for every day use and occasionally launch control it into orbit to impress their mates - I dont think it is designed for petrol heads. All my humble opinion based on my personal experience of the car. Suggest you try one and draw your own conclusions, but I really cant see you choosing it over your current car line up.
