PH'er Car rental
Discussion
To all fellow Ph'rs
I'm looking to find someone who is willing to hire out their P&J for a day, and was wondering if anyone knew of anyone who does this.
I would obviously pay for insurance for the day in question and can agree rates.
(Rental companies are a ripoff )
Any advice also on a proposed contract would be useful too !

just fairly unlikely I'd say matey.
Even if someone charged you say 750 quid a day to be marginally cheaper than a rental company, if something went wrong or the car came back needing a new clutch or tyres then that would cost far more than the rental.
Also, just for me personally, i wouldnt do it. Sorry.

GI Jnr also has a Murci/360 for hire IIRC.
Re: Insurance - not sure you could insure a private individuals car on your own insurance for the day, would you not have to go on the owner's own insurance policy? If so, this may be a problem for the owner. It's my understanding that it's easier to insure a hire car on your own insurance. Just a thought.

This is as far as I'm aware the case - you would need to supply owner your details and get yourself temporarily added to their insurance. Then if you do bend their motor then it's their insurance thats f**ked - again not an ideal proposition!

Im happy to loan out the elise, but sadly cannot lend the diablo - modifications mean no chance
Personally I wouldn't be bothered about the things that have concnerned others on here - though I would make a definite 'personal judgement' with regards whoever was considerng borrowing it. I see no reason why you SHOULD knacker exotica any more than anything else (in fact you're likely to be so careful with someone elses toy that damage would be LESS likely)....unless the person is a total tool - and I hope I'd have spotted that before lending it!
