Competition

[Pot Odds]

Hoping this can stay in Pedal Powered rather than bumped elsewhere as its feedback from fellow cyclists i'm after.

I'm keen to gauge whether there would be interest in competitions with cycle related prizes - kind of like best of the best but with prizes being more along the lines of Garmin Edge 520 or 1000. Is a Garmin blingy enough for people to be interested ?

Entry would be somewhere in the region of 50p to £1 entry with potentially limited ticket numbers to give reasonable odds.

Just wondered if this sort of thing would float peoples boats ?

I'd also add BotB seems to work because they offer the chance to win something that would be unattainable for many. A £100 gadget or blingy accessory for the bike is something most people will just go out and buy. With cycle to work schemes, even a bike that, at £1K, would be expensive to some becomes realistic.

So I'm not sure about your prizes, motives or USP. Sorry.

I'd much rather chuck a tenner in to win a £2.5k bike than chuck 50p in to win a £125 gadget. (Assuming the same odds in both cases)
