Trails for Wales
Discussion
Apologies if a re-post....
Have signed this online petitiony thing. I don't usually sign such things but thought this one worthy of support. I first MTB'd in about 1990 and remember all the arguments about bikes causing erosion etc etc. I also got fed up with explaining to scottish friends why, when cycling in places like the Lake District we can't "just go down that footpath, we won't be hurting anyone"....
If Wales are looking in to the possibility of opening up their access then hopefully England wouldn't be too far behind. Already prefer north Wales for MTB'ing now over the Lakes but usually go to trail centres and do the odd bridlepath linked by road to avoid footpaths but this could make the area really, really good!
