Looking for a motorsport related summer job....
Discussion
I'm currently in my first year studying a masters in motorsport engineering at Brunel uni.... Although i'll be having a year in industry in my 3rd year with lotus, lola or prodrive etc etc, i'm looking to get a motorsport related job for 3 or 4 months during the summer - doesen't neccesarily have to be paid but I wanted something extra to slap on my cv... i've thought of doing something like being a marshall at a local circuit - any ideas how i go about this?
Ideally i'd like something a bit more technical as it is afterall an engineering degree im studying for.
Any ideas would be much appreciated... must be some odd jobs going around in the summer with it being the height of the motorsport season

www.marshals.co.uk for marshalling info surprisingy!...or find your local motor club and offer your services at a sprint/hillclimb etc etc marshalling at a sprint is very easy and requires no previous experience.
you could try one of the local karting clubs/tracks and offer to help out there. might be just an indoor track doing corporate things but would be a good laugh, prepping the karts etc...

Worth a look?
Phil
I'm hopefully going to be applying for my industrial placement with them next year but i doubt they'd give me any summer work with no experience on board...
John: Reckon I might just do that, would be perfect if they did have anything going there. Any luck over your side at all?
