Anyone had difficulty with brake fluid light?

Fluid level looks fine and no evidence of fluid anywhere obvious.

It's a bit disconcerting seeing the light on though.

Car hadn't been used for a few weeks and just started it this morning.

The light comes on when the handbrake is on as well. I have had problems with the handbrake switch not switching off properly.

Aha! biggrin

I did think that this morning - since the car hadn't been used for a while.

I'll give it a wee joogle this evening.

Mine used to come on under acceleration. I had to fill to the top to prevent it.

If you pull the wire off the level switch it goes out !

It's an irritating flaw and my 620R does the same .

I found if I filled it enough for the light to go out the fluid leaked from the cap .

My R500 came with this AP race cap to replace the one with the switch.

Much better fit which means no leaks,,and does without the switch so the light problem goes away!

Just do the old racing trick and put a sweat band round it to catch the leakage or roll up a rag and zip tie t round the cap.

Just found the original bag and AP Racing packaging if it's any use to anyone too!

I've got the race cap on too - stops it dribbling all over the place!
