Nearly 3 weeks without bike. I'm bored. Going to get another one this weekend. Big V8's are great, but in no way will any car/truck/4 wheeler compare to the thrill of thrashing a bike...!

A V8, a big bike and a debt make for happy summers.

Go for it hertsbiker ! I was out on a glorious summers evening in the Peak District last night, with the sound of superbikes ringing through the hills. Hundreds of bikes out last night as it was the first nice sunny night this month - I'd have been well pissed off without abike. What are you thinking of getting ??

636 most likely. Have to be stealthy with this one, quite a good top end on it I hear...

Being without a bike was like something had died. This is like being reborn. I guess the non-bikers here won't understand, but to put it into perspective, imagine going from your Tiv/Loti/Furry to a Metro, while seeing & hearing other exotic cars driving everywhere.

Duh.

I just put a top box on my fireblade (much to the amusement of friends) and now I have an absolute missile with a competely waterproof and secure boot (more than I can say about my tvr) in which I can fit all my waterproofs and all the stuff I need for work and there's room for a couple of bottles of beer from the offy on the way home and it that can still fit in between car lanes... it's the only way to travel.

Carl,

Oh dear - I can see the problem.... There must be something that can, not necessarily replace the buzz from a bike, give something equal? I dont know not being a biker, but maybe something alternative might help :

1) Shock therapy
2) Carting
3) Drugs and/or drink
4) Particularily dangerous crime - like robbing banks

How about accupunture? Might help the symptoms of the withdrawl from bikes..... other than that I am afraid I am stumpted..... But there must be something???

Cheers,

Paul

Got a CBR600 now !

Quick enough. I don't see how you'd ever equate a CBR with a "first big bike" though !! It is rather quick in the 9000-12000rpm range, like a howling banshee.

Oh, and I sold the truck. Yep, lost a packet, but didn't fancy its chances of surviving mechanically for very long - auto box playing up, and I only had it for a week !!! not my problem now.
