Page 153 - on Buying Running Selling

Ad - not my car before you think I'm advertising...

1997 Cerbera 4.2, 55k miles, star mist green, AP Racing brakes, 18" spiders, 2001 body & light conversion, lowered uprated suspension, recent engine overhaul by TVR. New gearbox and clutch, stunning...£19,995...

Their view...
-------------
body/lights conversion and suspension mods > this means the car has been well and truly thrashed.

engine overhaul, gearbox and clutch > why? and find out whether the problems that caused these has been rectified.

Leave it > its had so much work done that its unlikely to be reliable.
------------------

That's not what I thought when I read the ad...Thoughts anyone???

ps can just about make out the plate..."D4 TVR"

Sounds like a normal Cerbera to me. How can they assess so much from that. TVRs are different to other cars. When is the mainstream media going to understand that?

I know this car, it used to belong to Marc Payne. He'd just about got everything sorted when he had to sell it. They were right about the thrashing though Marc was, is a nutter and 'WILL' be back in the fold. All the best looked after Cerbies are driven hard - They need it.

I was thinking it's Marcs car too... In which case the Reg is C4 TVR..... Very good/sorted car, and the fastest 4.2 anywhere (would eat 4.5's for breakfast)...
