...Has the worst website ever!

Routes are there, but no profiles, no telling where the KOM / sprint points are, just where travelodges are in relation to the route.

As a northerner, I'm liking the look of this year - some nicely hilly bits, and potentially a lot of people to see some of the glorious countryside in Lancs / Cumbria / Northumberland. I might even try to beat my 2013 ride effort, which was to go and see the mid wales KOM point (150 miles round trip with 7800 ft climbing). Hard to pick which stage to do it on though, when the profiles aren't there!

Edit - Will add profiles when I can be arsed to do em. Takes about 20-30 mins each =(

Stage 3 starts just over 3 miles from home (Cockermouth) but I won't be going to see it as the timing doesn't fit with doing a half day at work. I'll be going to watch the finish of stage 5 up Hartside, probably park in/near Penrith and cycle up to the summit. Information on road closure times might help that mind, as it'll be about 1200 I'll be getting on the bike, and don't want to find the road shut at the time I want to be cycling up it!

Cycling up Hartside to watch tomorrow's stage finish, going up in club gear but might stick my PH jersey on over the top once up to try and get it on TV.

Agree that the commentary etc is pretty dire, even the camerawork from the moto on stage 1 was awful!

Just caught up with the race (vuelta takes priority), thought it'd be more exciting tbh. Just not the big hills available having watched so much grand tour..

Saw it pass through my home town of Bury St Edmunds yesterday. Was all over very quickly.

When we were out this moorning we saw lots of people cycling up. Saw teams such as Wiggins, Lotto Soudal, Etixx, Novo Nordisk and Tinkoff Saxo at one of the hotels along the A4.
