Thanks very much!
Some awesome cars in your stable!
Vauxhall dealer owner has a Continental GT, very imposing up close, was dark and raining though.

The VX is very, very good to drive. So much feedback, so raw, a big go kart, full of character. Still getting used to it really, just an immense sense of fun, even from sliding into it. It's not a car I find the need to drive fast, I seem to do 75 on dual carriageways as it just seems to be fun no matter what speed. Can't wait to get it on track.

No one has tried to race me, but I seem to be getting cut up slightly more, there may not be anything in that though.

It does get a really good reception from other drivers/pedestrians, lots stop and look, it's just very different. I never see another VX on the road apart from at meets, the vast majority of Elises only seem to come out in the good weather yet I'm driving that in all weathers

The plate is from www.fancyplates.com, excellent service, no documents required. Though I have www.muncher.org.uk/plate.jpg on it now which is a normal sized one on the rear but empty space cut away.

oddly enough i was on m25 near a1 yesterday (ironically en route from colchester) and passed (several times, lol) this same car. was being driven very slowly the several miles i shadowed it by a rather attractive young blonde lady, on her own.

when i drew parallel and glanced over, she seemed oblivious to my dirty green mx5, unsurprisingly!

i am not a ferrari person but it made a rather nice combination.

ttfn.

Be careful however, Maserati3200gt, as the plod are clamping down on illegal number plates, with instant fines etc. Check the requirements out here before you fit to your car:

Reg Requirements

You can bet that the police will find it very amusing to pull over a posh car, just because it has a slightly too small number plate.

lol, well, yes. maybe that's sad but i have never really understood ferrari's and their lure. an aston - yes, a morgan aero 8 - yes, a maserati - yes. ferrari - hmmm, sorry doesn't float my boat as they say. i like my mx5. humble soul i am, i know. still i do ride a harley also, so that reflects my need for speed!?

Interesting that you find Maserati's suitably soul satisfying yet Ferrari doesn't do it for you. Have you been in a Ferrari? I didn't realise how special they were until Bebbesen took me for a lap of Bruntingthorpe... From then on I've been a Ferraristi fan.

hi - yes, i have spent a bit of time (as passenger only) in ferrari's albeit only older types - ie, a dino and a 328.

i actually liked them (especially as both were in black). i should have qualified my comment better; it's the new era of ferrari's that don't really interest me for some reason.

that's not to say that i wouldn't love to take a modern one on a test track thrash, however!
