Potential Purchase 996 C4S - £25k
Discussion
Afternoon All,
I am looking at a new motor and have had my eye on 996's for a while. I was initially looking at facelift C2 & C4 models around £15k.
I've had some very good news over the last couple of weeks with a new job which has allowed me to up my budget, so I'm now looking at the C4S instead. I've always loved these cars and I'm delighted to be able to afford one.
The one I'm interested in is £25k though. It's a 2005 model, in a rare colour with 58k. It's a lot of money, but seems to be in fantastic condition.
My question to you is, is it overpriced? Is £25k too much for a C4s or is that now the going rate? I know 996 values are on the march - £17k would have bought you a good C4s 2 years ago. I'm just after some opinions on values now, how much they've moved already and what they may do in the future? Anybody got a crystal ball?
There are a few around at £21-22k, but they're not the colour I want and the Tiptronics generally seem cheaper too - I'm after a manual.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Well I have actually paid just over that but it is a 27K mile car in mint condition, and I mean mint as it was a concourse car 2 years ago.
The prices are on the up and regardless what some say the C4S is actually one of the best looking 911's in my opinion so if you like them then buy the best one you can as long term it would be the most cost effective. Currently the difference between a perfect car and average car is not that huge.
