997 Turbo at Porsche Bournemouth
Discussion
Has anyone seen (or have any knowledge of) this Gen2 Turbo Cabrio ?
Looks very clean, full OPC warranty etc, but it hasn't sold in months.
Overpriced ? Wrong Colour ?
Any thoughts appreciated!

Turbo cabs are not so popular and take far longer to sell.
When I was looking for a turbo, there were plenty of low mileage cabs available, but very few coupes.
I was tempted to buy a cab but due to the fact that the rear seats face forward, couldn't really take my 2 kids out in the cab, therefore went for a coupe.

It took me ages to find my cab and coupes were everywhere! When I was looking for a turbo, there were plenty of low mileage cabs available, but very few coupes.

I think there were approx 3 times as many coupes produced than cabs.
Thanks for everyone's responses.
I agree about the service from Bournemouth - I called them some months ago when I was interested in a new 991 (at the time, we'd just sold our house so I had the money - not now though, after placating Mrs SPS with a new kitchen) and neither of my two calls, direct to the manager, were returned.
However, the one I'm referring is a very clean car, well spec'd, and as unlike my previous 997 which was used daily, the next one will be purely a fun car (Ford Focus does the runarounds very nicely). So I guess it comes down to whether £82k is too much and if prices will come down at the end of the summer. I'm tempted to wait......

Is it not the same at all the dealers, where the cars sell themselves?
It's aweful but they don't have to try too hard to earn a crust!
Some do, but there is usually more than one car for sale nationwide, so by giving great service hopefully the customer will buy from you, rather than the other dealersIt's aweful but they don't have to try too hard to earn a crust!

What's the age/mileage of the car?
If it's any guide I just paid £66k for my 10 reg, 38k miles tt cab.
Stu, It's a 62plate with about 27k on the clock if I remember right. If it's any guide I just paid £66k for my 10 reg, 38k miles tt cab.
The Porsche website seems to vary with the number of cars it shows. A couple of weeks ago there were about 15 997 turbo's on there (plus half a dozen Turbo S's ). Last week it dropped to 3, then up to six and now just 1, so who knows ! I can't see their sales numbers varying by that much so quickly, unless more people have decided to blow their pension pot!
I'm not in a position to buy just yet so I'm going to wait a month or two and just watch the prices and availability.

Interesting, very happy with the service they have provided me, but it has been from a servicing point of view.I agree about the service from Bournemouth - I called them some months ago when I was interested in a new 991 (at the time, we'd just sold our house so I had the money - not now though, after placating Mrs SPS with a new kitchen) and neither of my two calls, direct to the manager, were returned.
